Open Society Archives (OSA) inherited approximately 100,000 books from the library of the former Radio Free Europe. The holdings’ politically and historically most relevant pieces were deposited in the library of Central European University (CEU) and OSA.

In summer 2007, the majority of books were devalued, and people were given the chance to freely choose from this archive. The devalued and hence transformed books represented the political and econo-historical heritage of the Cold War era. The photos show the process of this revaluation, devaluation and elimination. The installation is made of free postcards.
